Saribung (6348 m) is one of the highest peaks in the remote Damodar Himal range, north of the Annapurnas and south of Tibet.
It takes a 10-day trek from Jomsom to reach its base camp. Along the road, the ancient Mustang kingdom displays arid beauty.
In 2008, an expedition led by French guide Jean Annequin reached the summit and skied it for the first time, traversing on the Bhrikuti glacier to the lost Phu valley.
